Restoring aerosol production in instrumentation and therapy

Dr. George K. Merijohn presented his ground-breaking seminar for clinicians who use power scalers, air polishers and air turbine handpieces at Pacific Dental Congress.

Located in San Francisco California and Whistler BC, Dr. Merijohn is recognized as a leading educator in periodontics, minimally invasive surgery, delivering safer therapy, aerosol-reduced dentistry, and advanced periodontal hand instrumentation.

He hosted a seminar at PDC called “Thrive! Produce Less Aerosol, Deliver Safer Therapy,” that focused on leading-edge methods to reduce aerosol production in both rotary handpiece instrumentation and dental hygiene therapy.

Attendees who took the seminar learned about leading edge practices using these devices and how to produce less aerosol, practice safer dentistry and give their practice a key competitive edge

Dr. Merijohn has 28 years of private periodontal practice in San Francisco  and he is an Assistant Professor in the department of Graduate Periodontics at the University of Washington and University of California San Francisco.

He is also President and CEO of Aerosol Free Dentistry International and George K. Merijohn, DDS Professional Corporation, and is Senior Director of Perio Access® Publishing.

Dr. Merijohn authored multiple papers published in leading peer-reviewed journals and has written chapters in internationally published textbooks. Dr. Merijohn contributes time to organized dentistry, is a member of multiple dental organizations, and served on the editorial board of the Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice.
