MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada: At the 45th Journees dentaires internationales du Quebec (JDIQ) meeting, it seems that everyone who is anyone in the dental field was there. Meeting organizers put together an event offering valuable educational opportunities, fun-filled special events and access to a comprehensive selection of products for the dental profession.

Those who came to Montreal were in the right place.

In the exhibit hall, hundreds of companies showcased the latest technology. Reps from each company were on hand to talk with meeting attendees directly about their offerings. General dentists, specialists, hygienists and support staff could find something valuable to take home.

Many exhibitors offered special promotions or giveaways. Many others are offered at-show presentations to help those who attended learn more. One company was giving away yellow roses, just to be nice. Another company brought its very own robot, and attendees could get their picture taken with him.

If that weren’t enough, attendees could also partake in breakfast from each morning, and wine and cheese tastings each afternoon. Yes it’s very nice — and it’s the way it’s done in Montreal.

“I would like to thank all our partners and exhibitors,” said Dr. Denis Robert, JDIQ chairman, in his welcome greeting to meeting attendees. “I invite you to visit their booths to check out all the innovations and new products and materials they offer.”

Educational offerings

There was plenty to learn here at the 45th JDIQ. Opportunities included lectures, panel discussions, hands-on workshops and much more. Many companies offered educational presentations in their booths on the exhibit hall floor.

“The science of dentistry is constantly changing thanks to research into every aspect of the field,” Robert said. “The 2015 JDIQ program is designed to let you benefit from the expertise of renowned speakers who are familiar with the latest advances in dentistry.”
