DT News - Canada - PDC offers six sessions of live dentistry in two days

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada: The exhibit floor at this year’s Pacific Dental Conference had its highly popular live dentistry sessions back in full force. Three sessions filled out the schedule on each of the two days that the meeting’s exhibition area was open. The conference’s “Live Dentistry Stage” was sponsored by Sinclair Dental and A-dec.

Bernard Jin, DMD, presented “Immediate anterior implant solutions with ridge augmentations using innovative PRF applications,” with commentary by Dr. Mark Kwon. The session was cosponsored by Hiossen Implant Canada.

Ho-Young Chung, DDS, presented “Immediate implant denture solution with extractions, PRF, immediate implant placement and immediate loading” with commentary by Dr. Mark Kwon. The session was cosponsored by Hiossen Implant Canada.

Alan Lowe, DMD, Dip Ortho, PhD, FRCD(C), presented “Clinical techniques for sleep apnea therapy with oral appliances.” The session was cosponsored by Aurum Group.

Peter Walford, DDS, FCARDP, presented “Can’t place implants? Take a look at the inlay/flange bridge and what it can do.”

Sonia Leziy, DDS, Dipi Perio, FCDS(BC), FRCD(C), presented “Immediate implant placement and transitional restoration — 5 key steps for success.” The session was cosponsored by BioHorizons Canada.

David Chong, DDS, and Brandon Kang, DDS, DMD, MD, presented “Lateral and crestal sinus surgery.” The session was cosponsored by Hiossen Implant Canada.

The live dentistry stage was open to all attendees. Also in the Exhibit Hall for the first time this year was a “Product Stage,” featuring scheduled product-educational sessions presented by some of the exhibiting companies.

Exhibitor spaces were sold out again this year, which is typical for the meeting. There were more than 600 booths occupied by more than 300 companies. The meeting itself attracted record attendance, with meeting organizers anticipating that by the final day, total attendance would exceed 13,000.
